Asia is the world’s largest continent in terms of cultural diversity, hence the range of foods is obvious. From Vietnamese street markets to calm elegant sushi restaurants in Japan, each country has its own way of feeding the flesh. I’ve selected several popular Asian cuisines that people can’t get enough of: sushi, ramen, dim sum, Korean barbecue, hot pot dinners, and takoyaki. We will also list locations in Toronto where these tastes might be enjoyed without travelling to the country.
Kinton Ramen: Well known for a flavorsome tonkotsu soup and the possibility of the modification of the portions of a bowl.
Ryus Noodle Bar: Can be described as serving various types of delicious ramen that a customer cannot find in other restaurants.
Liuyishou Hotpot: Serves Sichuan hotpot and a great variety of materials for it.
Haidilao Hot Pot: Popular for different types of broth and highest quality of the ingredients used and exceptional customer service.
Mapo Korean BBQ: Provides entertainment and a lively atmosphere with meat choices to satisfy the viewer’s palate.
Daldongnae Korean BBQ: one of my favourite place to eat BBQ as it is famous for the fresh and tender foods. Moreover, ambience of this place is just WOW.
YU Sea Food: Is more sophisticated than the traditional Chinese restaurant and focuses on serving dim sum.
Rol San: They have a large menu and lots of people, sometimes it is noisy. Overall, Great Experience.
Takoyaki is a tasted Japanese street food that is made with ball-shaped battered, stuffed with octopus, scraps of tempura and green onions and garnished with savory sauces and flakes of bonito. It is a very tasty snack that, in every bite, will keep one guessing whether they are eating a crisp vegetable or a grilled meat.
Gushi Japanese Street Food: As a carnivorous country Japan is particularly well known for its savory takoyaki and this restaurant serve the best around toronto.
Musoshin: It has long been the favorite to go-to for fast and delightful takoyaki servings plus they really have delightful ramen.
Kasa Moto: They are associated with the classy presentation of the meals and the use of quality materials in the preparation of meals. I’m out of words to describe the sushi, you have to visit and try this amazing restaurant.
Sushi Kaji: Provides a truly great omakase meal with delicious sushi made by professionals. However, I was surprised to learn that they imported all the condiments from Japan to make them more authentic.
It is always interesting and often very enjoyable to sample the different aspects of Asian food and fortunately, Toronto can provide good examples of the said cuisine. Be it fancy Japanese sushi, warm and hearty ramen, the Chinese prohibition-style dim sum, the social South Korean BBQ or the celebratory hot pot, the Street foodish takoyaki, Toronto has it all and so much more. So step into Asia without leaving the city and let your palate explode to the flavours that may be found abundant in this part of the world.
